1.Preparation of Materials General Checklist:
▪ Passport and first page copy: Original passport valid for at least 6 months with blank visa pages, and one copy of the passport's photo page
▪ One fully completed and signed Visa Application Form for the People's Republic of China (https://cova.mfa.gov.cn/) is required. The attached photo must be a recent, front-facing, color (light background), uncapped passport photo (48mm×33mm).



▪ Core documents: Travel visa: round-trip flight orders, hotel orders, itinerary in China, insurance policy in China; or invitation letters issued by units within China (such as travel agencies) or individuals residing in China, and insurance policy in China.
Special Note: When necessary, consular officers may request applicants to provide additional supporting documents or supplementary materials, such as citizenship papers, bank statements, tax documents, etc., which may not be listed on this website. Consular officers may also require applicants to undergo an interview.
For minor applicants, in addition to the aforementioned documents, the following are required:
1. For applicants under 18 years of age, both parents or legal guardians must sign and confirm on the application form under Section 5. If the legal guardian's signature is required, the original and copies of relevant legal documents, as well as the original passport of the legal guardian and copies of the passport's information page and signature page, must be provided.
2. Applicants under the age of 18 must submit both the original and a copy of the birth certificate (containing parental information). If the birth certificate is not in English, Chinese, or Russian, a translation must be attached. In case of any changes to the personal information in the aforementioned documents, an official certification document issued by the relevant authority must be provided.
3. If either or both parents hold passports from their country of nationality, please provide the original and copies of valid visas for lawful residence, work, or study in that country. 4. For overseas-born Chinese children, when applying for the first time, as nationality needs to be determined, the applicant must provide the original and copies of the birth certificate (with parental information), the original and copies of the original China passport or travel document (if applicable), the original and copies of the visa and naturalization documents, as well as the original and copies of the passports and visas of both parents at the time of the applicant's birth, and the original and copies of the naturalization certificate. If any personal information in the above materials has been changed, the original and copies of the authenticated proof documents must be provided.
5. If neither parent accompanies the minor to the center for visa application, a power of attorney from both parents must be provided.
